The soon-to-be blockbuster movie, Iron Man 2 had its successful premiere. As expected, it was a star-studded mega event filled with Hollywood’s A-lists and celebrities out in full force to support the blockbuster superhero. Everyone from Sylvester Stallone to Hugh Hefner to Sam Rockwell and Adrien Brody were present. As expected, the hit movie franchise stars like  Robert Downey  Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlet Johansson, Mickey Rourke and director Jon Favreau are in all perfect attendance. According to Rourke, they won’t be there if not because of Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr, who is the lead actor of the movie, expressed his sincere gratitude towards the fans, who from the very beginning supported the first movie all throughout its sequel.

Downey says: “I really have gotten to the point where I honestly appreciate it so much, because I wouldn’t be here…enjoying the sequel if the fans hadn’t responded, and made it the success it was.”

Gwyneth Paltrow, his co-star since the first movie was equally appreciative to the fans.

Paltrow says: “It’s very nice that everybody’s excited to see the movie.”

The beautiful actress admits that it was a great pleasure to work with Downey in which she plays the role of a feisty assistant named Pepper Potts.

Another famous faces on the red carpet was the rest of the cast of the blockbuster movie together with director Jon Favreau. Co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke,  and Samuel L. Jackson all feature in the new movie.

The 57-year-old actor, Mickey Rourke, who plays the role of Russian bad guy Ivan Vanko (Whiplash) in the film, have only nice things to say to his co-stars.

Rourke says: “Working on Iron Man was great. “I worked with some great people and it was real easy to work and have some fun.”

The box office experts already predicted that the Iron Man 2 could easily make over $220million, breaking the records set by The Dark Knight just two years ago
